Morris Stein (1/14/1889-12/7/1946), served in the Army in World War I and was owner of the Brownsville Herald from 1924 to 1929, when he sold the newspaper. Leon Perl was born February 24, 1888, in Podjace in the Austro-Hungarian Empire to Wolf and Rivka Perl. He and his three siblings, Joseph, Belle, and Sam, arrived in Galveston with their mother in 1900 to join their father, who had immigrated earlier. Samuel Levin

Born in Poland on October 10, 1892. Died June 14,1966. Her served in the U.S. Army during WWI. He was the father of Bernard Levin, also buried in the Hebrew Cemetery. Samuel Levin was the Commander of the Valley organization of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
